Senior Java Developer - Azure

We're looking for a Senior Java Developer – Azure to join our team in Zurich, Switzerland, in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will design and build backend services and APIs while contributing to scalable cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performing software solutions that drive client success in complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable and secure server-side applications
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for backend and frontend communication
• Integrate backend systems with third-party services
• Contribute to the design of scalable, resilient and fault-tolerant systems
• Optimize application performance across services
• Write clean, maintainable and efficient code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions
• Support deployment and operations on Microsoft Azure

Requirements

• Solid experience as a Java developer in enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Working knowledge of Spring Boot
• Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service
• Exposure to Azure Service Bus or similar messaging systems
• Strong understanding of API design and integration principles
• Good grasp of performance optimization techniques
• Solid understanding of clean code principles and software design patterns

Nice to have

• Additional Azure certifications
• Experience with event-driven architectures
