We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to own a shared React component library used across multiple product pods, shaping accessible component APIs, governance, and tooling. Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of a shared React component library, including additions, changes, deprecations, and breaking releases
- Design composable component APIs with clear prop contracts, robust defaults, and consistent patterns
- Ensure WCAG 2.1 AA compliance by implementing semantic HTML, ARIA, keyboard navigation, and focus management
- Review component implementations for accessibility compliance before publishing releases
- Maintain the monorepo structure and package publishing pipeline to the registry
- Resolve security advisories that impact build confidence and release readiness
- Define and enforce a component contribution and review process across consuming teams
- Conduct version audits to identify and correct misalignment across consumers
- Maintain and improve documentation and visual regression workflows
- Introduce and expand automated test coverage for the component library
- Coordinate token synchronization workflows with design counterparts
- Run an AI-assisted component generation pilot and standardize a repeatable workflow
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with JavaScript and TypeScript in frontend development
- Strong experience designing reusable React component APIs
- Accessibility engineering expertise with WCAG 2.1 AA compliance
- Component documentation experience with Storybook
- Monorepo experience with Yarn Berry and workspace tooling
- CI/CD pipeline experience for package publishing and release management
- Security remediation skills for dependency advisories in build pipelines
- Testing knowledge with Playwright and Vitest
- Design system governance skills for contribution standards and version audits
- Cross-functional collaboration skills with UX and engineering stakeholders
- Clear communication skills for documenting APIs and guiding adopters
- Minimum English language level of B1+

- Knowledge of Chromatic visual regression workflows
- Experience with Vite-based build setups
- Background in SCSS and Bootstrap 5 styling patterns
- Knowledge of GitLab NPM Registry publishing workflows
