Senior Data Software Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Data Software Engineer to build and support scalable data pipelines that keep enterprise data reliable, secure, and available for analytics and reporting. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize storage, transformation, and quality processes.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable data pipeline architectures for ingestion, transformation, and serving
- Build and maintain data processing workflows that meet reliability, performance, and scalability needs
- Ensure data integrity, security, and availability aligned with industry practices and organizational requirements
- Develop complex SQL procedures and scripts for transformation, aggregation, and retrieval
- Optimize BigQuery and SQL Server datasets, queries, and storage patterns for cost and performance
- Implement data quality monitoring, validation checks, and alerting to keep production data accurate
- Collaborate with data architects, modelers, and IT partners to align engineering work with delivery goals
- Integrate new data management technologies and engineering tools into existing environments
- Support data warehouse strategy and execution with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance
- Analyze and validate source and curated data to ensure it meets reporting and BI needs
- Automate data processing and integration tasks using Python scripts
- Stay current on data engineering methods and propose improvements to reduce risk and operational effort
Requirements
- 3+ years of data engineering experience in building and maintaining data pipelines
- Google Cloud BigQuery experience for dataset design, pipeline optimization, and query performance
- Microsoft SQL Server experience with complex SQL, procedures, and scripting
- Senior-level ownership skills to drive solutions from design through production support
- Data pipeline tools knowledge with workflow orchestration or scheduling concepts
- Strong database knowledge in relational theory, schema design, and performance tuning
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- Strong analytical skills to validate data and troubleshoot pipeline or quality issues
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical partners
- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with data architects and IT partners
