We are seeking a Lead Data Integration Engineer to join the innovative Data Practice team and make an impact on EPAM's strategic initiatives.
In this role, you will focus on creating robust data systems and applications to support effective decision-making. Key priorities include developing and maintaining data pipelines, data-driven solutions in public clouds like AWS or Azure, and facilitating seamless data migration from on-premises infrastructure to the cloud. You will also work on building key components for enterprise data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Drive EPAM strategic data initiatives
- Design and manage enterprise data solutions within Public Cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- Build components for enterprise data platforms to ensure efficient data workflows
- Collaborate with data scientists, architects, and other stakeholders to address data requirements
- Implement structured, secure, and auditable processes to safeguard data integrity
- Identify and resolve data-related issues while enhancing overall system quality
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- At least one year of relevant leadership experience
- Background in Public Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), DBMS, and ETL/ELT tools
- Hands-on experience with Databricks
- Skills in data acquisition, including API calls, FTP downloads, ETL, transformation, storage, and distribution
- Background in building components for enterprise data platforms, such as Data Warehouses, Operational Data Stores, API access layers, file extracts, or query systems
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related discipline
- Competency in effective communication
