Senior DevOps Engineer GCP with AI

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer GCP with AI expertise to join a project focused on building and maturing a centralized Cloud Product Engineering capability. You will implement and manage cloud infrastructure for a data mesh architecture project with an emphasis on the AI stack in GCP, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data engineers and architects, to standardize and simplify the consumption of GCP native services such as GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Functions.

Responsibilities

• Request services and permissions from the Central Cloud Engineering team through the established JIRA process
• Design, configure, and maintain the GCP environment for the data mesh architecture project
• Collaborate with various teams to define cloud infrastructure requirements and ensure scalability, security, and reliability of the GCP platform
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automation with cloud-specific deployment models using GitHub Actions
• Create and maintain documentation related to GCP infrastructure and deployments
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks related to the GCP platform
• Follow established standards, best practices, and guides

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform, including compute, storage, and networking services
• Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools, including continuous integration and deployment
• Expertise in Shell scripting, GitHub Actions, and Terraform
• Working knowledge of GKE, Anthos Service Mesh/Istio, and Helm charts
• Understanding of networking concepts including firewall rules
• Familiarity with GCP Monitoring and Logging
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a timely manner
• B2+ level of English proficiency to communicate and collaborate with global teams
