We're growing our organization and looking to bring on a Lead Java Developer to join our ranks. This opportunity is a great fit for a seasoned engineer ready to take complete responsibility for complex initiatives, steering them from initial idea through to full production deployment. You'll assist in architecting and enhancing services that handle intricate investment data alongside distributed systems, settings where correctness, dependability, and scalability hold critical importance. The position operates under a hybrid arrangement, with four days of office attendance expected weekly

Responsibilities

  • Build, deploy, and sustain software applications rooted in Java and Spring Boot frameworks
  • Create sturdy, scalable APIs, microservices, and elements of distributed system architecture
  • Direct initiatives through the full engineering cycle, spanning initial planning and construction through launch and continued production upkeep
  • Pinpoint and fix intricate application and data challenges by delivering durable solutions
  • Contribute to architectural planning, technical direction-setting, code evaluation, quality control, and CI/CD pipeline construction
  • Utilize AWS and other cloud-native platforms to build reliable, expandable infrastructure
  • Partner with engineering, product, and business team members to achieve impactful technical solutions
  • Share expertise and guide fellow engineers to help elevate their professional abilities

Requirements

  • Over five years of applicable, hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
  • Minimum one year of experience supervising and guiding development teams
  • Solid history of building APIs, microservices, and distributed system frameworks
  • Comprehensive understanding of software design basics, testing procedures, performance improvement, and production dependability
  • Extensive background working with SQL and relational database platforms
  • Direct experience applying AWS or similar cloud-based service platforms
  • Working knowledge of event-driven architecture models and related tools such as Kafka
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team-oriented skills, along with working English fluency at B2 level or above, supporting accurate comprehension of business needs and their conversion into technical execution
  • Proven ability to independently spearhead technical projects while sustaining full accountability from concept through completion

Nice to have

  • Experience gained within financial services, investment management, or capital markets environments
  • Familiarity with Corporate Actions and related investment lifecycle procedures
  • Practical exposure to Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies
  • Background in developing or upgrading complex, large-scale systems
