Senior Java Developer

We're on the lookout for a Senior Java Developer to become part of our team. This position is a strong match for a seasoned engineer capable of driving complex solutions from initial concept all the way to live deployment. You'll contribute to building and refining services that handle intricate investment data and distributed systems, where precision, dependability, and scalability matter most. Please note this is a hybrid arrangement requiring four in-office days each week

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and support software solutions built on Java and Spring Boot
• Build resilient, scalable APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures
• Carry solutions through the full engineering lifecycle, from initial design and coding through deployment and ongoing production support
• Identify and resolve intricate application and data challenges through durable, long-term solutions
• Take an active role in architecture conversations, technical planning, code review, quality testing, and CI/CD pipeline work
• Utilize AWS along with other cloud-native tools to construct dependable, scalable infrastructure
• Work in close coordination with engineering, product, and business teams to craft impactful technical outcomes
• Share technical expertise and provide mentorship to support fellow engineers' growth

Requirements

• Three-plus years of hands-on, applicable experience working with Java and Spring Boot
• Background developing APIs, microservices, and distributed system architectures
• Solid grasp of software design fundamentals, quality testing methods, performance factors, and production stability
• Strong background working with SQL and relational database systems
• Practical experience using AWS or similar cloud infrastructure platforms
• Working knowledge of event-driven design patterns and associated tools like Kafka
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities, including working English fluency at B2 level or above, supporting accurate interpretation of business needs and their conversion into technical execution
• Proven capacity to independently steer technical initiatives and maintain full accountability from initial idea through final delivery

Nice to have

• Experience within financial services, investment management, or capital markets sectors
• Understanding of Corporate Actions and connected investment lifecycle workflows
• Hands-on background with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, or comparable technologies
• Experience developing or updating large-scale, intricate systems
