Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake). You design and optimize ELT pipelines, build analytics-ready data models and improve reliability across ingestion, orchestration and monitoring. You will use Snowflake, SQL, Python and Azure Data Factory to deliver trusted datasets that teams can use every day.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and support ETL and ELT pipelines using Snowflake and Azure data services
• Develop ingestion and transformation processes for batch and incremental loads
• Model analytics-ready datasets to support reporting and business analysis needs
• Write and maintain SQL and Python transformations, validations and reusable components
• Tune Snowflake performance across warehouses, queries, loading and cost efficiency
• Implement orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, alerting and recovery patterns
• Embed engineering practices across testing, deployment, CI/CD, documentation and data quality
• Mentor engineers through reviews, pairing and shared standards

Requirements

• Hands-on Snowflake expertise across ingestion, transformation, modeling and analytics workloads
• Advanced SQL capability including complex transformations, tuning and validation checks
• ETL and ELT delivery experience including incremental loads and change data capture patterns
• Azure Data Factory experience for orchestration, scheduling, monitoring and integrations
• Python development skills for data processing, automation and pipeline tooling
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts including dimensional modeling and modern platform design
• Snowflake platform knowledge including virtual warehouses, Snowpipe, Streams and Tasks, security and role-based access control (RBAC)
• Clear communication with the ability to align technical work with business goals

Nice to have

• Microsoft Power BI experience for reporting and semantic layer collaboration
• Apache Airflow exposure or similar workflow orchestration tools
• Consulting or client-facing delivery background in technology projects
