Senior Software Engineer- Full Stack Developer (Backend)

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer - Backend Full Stack Developer with 5+ years of experience in software engineering to design, develop, and support secure, scalable, and high-performance enterprise applications. This is a hands-on technical role primarily focused on backend development using PHP and Java, while also requiring working knowledge of front-end technologies, cloud platforms, APIs, databases, and production support.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience building enterprise-grade backend services, microservices, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native applications, with a passion for writing clean, secure, and maintainable code while supporting mission-critical production systems.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using PHP and Java.

• Build and support REST/SOAP APIs, backend services, microservices, and enterprise system integrations.

• Develop XML/JSON data mapping, transformation, and integration workflows.

• Apply MVC architecture, SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean coding best practices.

• Develop applications using Spring, Spring Boot, Composer, Gradle, PostgreSQL, and SQL.

• Implement secure APIs using authentication, authorization, encryption, validation, and secure coding practices.

• Optimize application performance through API optimization, database tuning, caching, and query optimization.

• Develop unit and integration tests, mock services, and participate in code reviews and static code analysis.

• Perform application debugging, log analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis across backend services and databases.

• Deploy and support cloud-native applications using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Support production environments and contribute to application monitoring, reliability, and operational excellence.

• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality customer solutions.

• Leverage AI-assisted software engineering tools responsibly to improve development productivity, code quality, debugging, testing, and documentation while maintaining strong engineering standards.

Skills you will have fine-tuned:

• Backend: PHP, Java, Spring/Spring Boot, REST/SOAP APIs, Microservices, MVC

• API & Integration: REST/SOAP, XML/JSON, API integration, data mapping & transformation

• Database: PostgreSQL, database design & query optimization

• Architecture: SOLID, design patterns, API-first development, scalability, high availability & caching

• Security: Authentication/authorization, API security, encryption, secure coding

• Tools & Practices: Composer, Gradle, Git, static code analysis, code reviews, mocking & API testing

• Frontend: Working knowledge of React.js, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3, Bootstrap

• Payments domain experience including payment gateways, PSP integrations, Cards, Digital Wallets, and Alternative Payment Methods (APMs).

• Knowledge of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, retries, idempotency, caching, and fault tolerance.

• Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger, monitoring, logging, metrics, and observability.

• Knowledge of PCI DSS, tokenization, encryption, secure payment processing, and compliance.

• Experience building highly available, scalable, and transaction-intensive enterprise applications.
