Wi-Fi Software Engineering Manager, Wireless Technologies & Ecosystems

As the engineering manager for the Wi-Fi Peer to Peer software development team, you’ll shape the technical direction and grow the people who make decisions influencing the peer to peer connectivity experience on products used by hundreds of millions of people every day, across the world. This role is responsible for leading a team of software engineers who refine existing features and develop new capabilities within the Wi-Fi peer to peer stack, addressing both new and existing use cases across Apple’s product lineup. You’ll set technical direction for the team, including leveraging cutting-edge AI and machine learning tools to improve product quality and streamline development and triage processes. The position requires driving cross-functional projects involving collaboration with teams inside and outside Apple, while also owning people-management responsibilities — hiring, mentoring, career development, and performance management for your team.

Minimum Qualifications

• You have experience managing or leading a software engineering team, with a track record of growing engineers and delivering through others
• You’re experienced in wireless connectivity SW development
• You have experience delivering SW features on large-scale deployments, and maintaining and polishing shipped software over multiple years
• You have experience with Swift/C/C++, Python, data interpretation, and telemetry
• Deep IP networking knowledge
• Experience using AI/ML to enhance product quality and streamline development and triage processes
• Strong ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, communicate clearly, and drive multiple projects across teams
• You’re laser-focused on the smallest details that are meaningful to our customers

• You have experience with Wi-Fi
• Prior experience building or scaling a team within a large organization
