Aufgaben

We are looking for a Flight Test Engineer to put our detection and interceptor systems to the test in the real world – building test rigs, flying drones, capturing data, and turning it into ground truth together with the team.

What you'll do

  • Plan and execute flight tests, including FPV and fixed-wing flights as well as model aircraft testing
  • Develop test procedures, collect data during test flights, and validate product performance in live trials
  • Label and annotate collected data accurately together with the data and ML (Machine Learning) teams
  • Design, build, and test a drone rig for the acoustic characterisation of drones in an anechoic chamber
  • Travel across the city, the country, and the world to record exotic background ambient sounds
  • Work hand in hand with data engineers, ML engineers, and fellow flight test staff to make sure every test delivers what the team needs
  • Support test setup and teardown in the field, alongside other engineers

Qualifikation

What you bring

  • Hands-on experience with FPV (First-Person View) flights and/or model aircraft
  • Strong technical knowledge paired with a practical, hands-on approach
  • Comfortable building and following structured test and data collection procedures
  • Detail-oriented, careful, and consistent when collecting and labeling data
  • A genuine team player who enjoys working closely with other engineers
  • EU work authorization

Bonus points for

  • Experience with drone operation or RC (Remote Control) piloting in conflict areas or frontline environments
  • A Master's degree in a related engineering discipline
  • Experience with data engineering or data structures
  • A background in aerospace, model aircraft, or similar hobbyist or professional flight experience
