Senior Software Quality Engineer, G&A Solutions Engineering (GSE)

Are you passionate about software quality, automation, and engineering excellence? If so, we'd like to hear from you. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will drive quality engineering across our software products, building quality frameworks, developing test automation, and creating the tools your team relies on. You'll work across a portfolio of GSE products, covering business functional use-case testing, non-functional quality, negative testing, and performance. We're looking for an experienced, hands-on quality engineer who brings creativity and initiative to the work.

You will define and drive the test approach and test plans for your assigned projects and functional areas — expanding our existing test coverage, engineering quality into how we test, and execute the work. You will own quality outright for your application areas. This role requires someone who can set qualification strategy and carry out both functional and non-functional testing across a complex mobile, desktop, and cloud client/server ecosystem. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a strong technical background and a proven track record. You'll need to own outcomes end-to-end and work cross-functionally to coordinate testing across complex client and server feature sets.

Minimum Qualifications

• 6 years of related hands-on experience in software QA/QE
• 4 years driving quality focused on automation, building tools, and utilities
• 2 years of hands-on programming experience in Java/Python. Must be fluent in coding in one of these two programming languages.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of QA/QE experience in Workday is highly desired.
• On Workday, test inbound/outbound Workday integrations across HR, Payroll, and Benefits modules.
• Develop utilities/scripts for Workday to automate test data creation and integration validation (e.g., bulk EIB load generation, file comparison, log parsing).
• Solid experience working with remote teams across time zones (on-site & Offshore teams).
• Fluent in using AI tools (like Claude/Gemini, etc.) to bring exponential efficiency gains on day-to-day activities.
• Experience testing on macOS, iOS (mobile apps). Cloud-based technologies are a plus.
• 1 year of software development experience is highly desirable.
• Support defect triage — log and track issues, work with Dev/Integration teams to reproduce and resolve failures.
• Apply general QE fundamentals: test case design, risk-based prioritization, defect lifecycle management, and basic automation scripting (Python/Java). (edited)
