Senior AI Security Engineer

We are looking for a Senior AI Security Engineer to secure enterprise microservices APIs across web and mobile environments using AI-driven detection, investigation, and governance. You will partner with engineering and business stakeholders to harden APIs, improve observability, and resolve security events.

Responsibilities

• Implement security controls for web applications, APIs, microservices, and AI-enabled services
• Design and implement observability for microservice REST and GraphQL APIs and end-to-end workflows
• Leverage AI and automation to analyze telemetry, logs, security events, and traffic data to detect issues
• Investigate and triage security and reliability events tied to configuration, agents, or integrations
• Identify and mitigate risks from exposed endpoints and publicly accessible services
• Coordinate with application teams, product owners, and stakeholders to resolve client-impacting issues
• Communicate findings, risks, mitigation plans, and recovery status to technical and business audiences
• Develop runbooks and troubleshooting procedures for recurring endpoint and API issues

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience securing APIs, web applications, and service-to-service communications
• Experience with microservices architectures, REST APIs, GraphQL, and event-driven systems
• Strong stakeholder collaboration skills to work directly with application teams and business partners
• Proven incident triage experience across security events and service-impacting issues
• Hands-on observability experience with logs, traces, metrics, and event streams
• Strong AI scripting and automation skills for detection, investigation, and remediation workflows
• Advanced knowledge of GraphQL security and API abuse prevention techniques
• Solid understanding of AI security, including Generative AI and LLM application security testing
• Clear communication skills for translating risks and mitigation plans to technical and business audiences
• Ability to document operational runbooks and troubleshooting procedures
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)

Nice to have

• Experience with Akamai Application Security, API Security, or Bot Manager
• Experience designing observability with Grafana
• Experience building monitoring and diagnostics in Dynatrace
• Experience integrating signals and detections with Splunk
• Experience using Langfuse for AI/LLM observability
