Senior Cloud Engineer

Project description

We are currently seeking experienced resources to support our client's Cloud Transformation program.

Responsibilities

• Automation & CI/CD Leadership (Primary Focus): Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Ansible and GitHub Actions. Design, develop, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and drive configuration management to fully automate infrastructure deployments and application delivery.

  Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Serve as an SME in Terraform, using it in tandem with Ansible to build, provision, and manage end-to-end cloud infrastructure, ensuring strict consistency, repeatability, and version control.

  AWS Architecture and Implementation: Implement and maintain secure, highly available, and scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS as per the High-Level Design (HLD). This includes the extensive use of core services like VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM.

  Advanced Networking & Load Balancing: Configure and manage AWS networking services, focusing specifically on Application Load Balancers (ALB), Network Load Balancers (NLB), routing, security groups, and hybrid connectivity solutions.

  Technical Leadership & Client Engagement: Serve as the technical lead in client discussions, providing expert architectural guidance and building trust through deep technical knowledge and clear communication.

  Multi-Cloud Exposure: Apply foundational knowledge of other cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, to inform architectural decisions and support multi-cloud initiatives.

SKILLS

Must have

• Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5+ years in a senior-level cloud engineering or DevOps role heavily focused on AWS.

  Automation Expertise: Deep, hands-on proficiency with Ansible (for configuration management) and GitHub Actions (for CI/CD automation) is strictly required.

  Infrastructure & Networking: Deep proficiency with Terraform for provisioning at scale, alongside expert-level knowledge of AWS networking (VPC design, routing, security, ALB/NLB configurations).

  Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to lead technical client discussions and articulate complex solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  Multi-Cloud: Proven experience with and a working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services.

  Certifications: Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty) are highly desirable.
