Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join an operational team supporting a client's internal solutions built on managed Kubernetes clusters, with a focus on observability, automation, and reliable operations.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain Observability stack components on Kyma clusters via Helm charts, Helm files, and GitOps tools
• Configure Helm charts, files, and manifests for cluster operations
• Set up Dynatrace, including synthetic and browser monitors and dashboards
• Write and maintain operational documentation
• Collaborate directly with partner engineering teams on technical matters
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads and resolve operational issues
• Manage resource allocation and RBAC configurations across clusters

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Kubernetes operations, including workloads, RBAC, resource management, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in Helm authoring (not just installing) and GitOps delivery with ArgoCD or FluxCD
• Hands-on experience with at least one APM/observability platform (Dynatrace preferred), including instrumentation, alerting, and dashboards
• Skills in Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of Linux fundamentals and networking basics
• Clear written English and confidence to work directly with partner engineering teams
• Strong documentation discipline
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Background in SAP BTP / Kyma
• Familiarity with Kyverno or OPA/Gatekeeper and admission control concepts
• Experience with Renovate or similar dependency automation tools
• Understanding of SRE practices: SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, service reporting
