We are looking for a Lead TypeScript+Node.js Developer for an internal platform team delivering a Backstage.io portal and software catalog. You will shape standards, integrate ELK, JIRA Service Desk, and Jenkins/CICD into Backstage, and enable Terraform execution while working across distributed teams—apply now.

Responsibilities

  • Define frontend architecture decisions, including component structure, state management, TypeScript standards, and performance
  • Practice spec-driven development by starting each feature from a spec and keeping implementations traceable to it
  • Lead technically by reviewing code, setting frontend standards, and mentoring other engineers
  • Integrate ELK entities into the Backstage catalog
  • Add Backstage extensions and templates and create render scripts
  • Implement a capability to run Terraform scripts
  • Connect JIRA Service Desk capabilities into Backstage
  • Integrate Jenkins/CICD capabilities into Backstage
  • Coordinate independently with distributed, cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • Proven experience with 5+ years in Node.js backend development
  • Deep expertise in TypeScript for production-grade services
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, web application hosting, and deployment
  • Ability to work independently with distributed, cross-functional teams
  • Practical proficiency with AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot or Claude Code, including Agents, Skills, MCP, and AI productivity workflows
  • English proficiency at B2+ (Upper-Intermediate) level

Nice to have

  • Working familiarity with GitHub Copilot AI-assisted development, including agents, skills, and MCP
  • Experience with spec-driven development frameworks such as SpecKit or BMAD
  • Exposure to developer portals, platform engineering, or internal tooling
  • Knowledge of ELK Stack
  • Familiarity with Backstage.io and Terraform
