Senior Backend Engineer

About the Role

You will join the core infrastructure team to build scalable backend services for an energy tech platform that enables dynamic energy offerings for OEMs and energy providers.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement robust backend components using TypeScript and Node.js

• Work with PostgreSQL and an ORM to model and access data efficiently

• Contribute to serverless or server-based backend services, including API routes or server components

• Collaborate on distributed systems design to ensure scalability and maintainability

• Integrate payments and billing flows as part of the product surface

• Own features end to end from design through production shipping

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience building reliable backend infrastructure

• Proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js, including asynchronous programming

• Experience with PostgreSQL and ORM based data access

• Experience with Next.js backend services, including API routes or server components

• Understanding of distributed systems concepts and designing scalable core services

• Experience integrating payments and billing flows

• Strong CS fundamentals, formal degree or equivalent practical experience

• Experience in an early stage startup environment and strong ownership mindset

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: €80,000 to €120,000 annually. Visa sponsorship available.
