Responsibilities

  • Role Summary: As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating automated platforms that enable reliable, secure, and scalable delivery of the MX platform across SaaS, cloud, and on-premise environments.

    You will play a key role in CI/CD implementation, infrastructure automation, environment management, and production reliability, working closely with development, QA, and client-facing teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. CI/CD & Release Engineering

    2. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, testing, and deployment across multiple environments
    3. Ensure pipeline stability, performance, and reliability, minimizing build failures and delays
    4. Implement automated build, packaging, and deployment processes
    5. Enforce version control best practices (branching strategies, tagging, artifact management)
    6. Support release cycles, including validation, smoke testing, and rollback strategies
    7. Automation

    8. Plan & Code Templates stored in Git repositories alongside application code, allowing template updates to be version-controlled, code-reviewed, and tracked
    9. Automate environment provisioning, configuration, and upgrades
    10. Build reusable automation components to improve scalability and consistency
    11. Reduce manual operations through process automation and scripting
    12. Environment & Platform Management

    13. Deploy and manage MX environments across development, testing, and production stages
    14. Handle environment lifecycle: o Provisioning o Configuration o Upgrades & patching o Decommissioning
    15. Ensure environments are standardized, reproducible, and compliant
    16. Support multi-client and multi-environment setups in SaaS or hybrid models
    17. Monitoring, Observability & Reliability (SRE mindset)

    18. Implement and maintain: o Monitoring o Logging o Alerting
    19. Ensure end-to-end observability of platforms and pipelines
    20. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on incidents
    21. Contribute to improving system reliability, SLAs, and operational KPIs
    22. Data & Environment Operations

    23. Manage environment data lifecycle: o Data provisioning o Data masking for non-prod environments o Data sampling and reduction
    24. Support database operations: o Migration o Sanitization o Reconciliation
    25. Ensure compliance with security and data governance requirements
    26. Incident & Support Management

    27. Act as a technical escalation point for environment and platform incidents
    28. Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, pipelines, and environments
    29. Coordinate with support and product teams for resolution
    30. Ensure proper documentation and knowledge sharing
    31. Collaboration & Delivery Enablement

    32. Collaborate with: o Development teams (integration into CI/CD pipelines) o QA teams (test automation and environment consistency) o Product teams (release readiness and constraints) o Client teams (technical coordination and delivery)
    33. Contribute to smooth delivery across project lifecycle
    34. Continuous Improvement & Best Practices

    35. Promote DevOps principles: o Automation-first o Continuous integration & delivery o Shift-left testing
    36. Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements
    37. Contribute to: o Internal tooling o Documentation o Standardization efforts
    38. Share knowledge and support onboarding of new team members

    Required Skills & Experience : Technical Skills

  • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps
  • Version control systems: Git (advanced usage)
  • Proficiency in template engines, specifically FreeMarker (FTL)
  • Scripting: Shell, Python, Groovy
  • Operating systems: Linux/Unix
  • Cloud platforms: AWS (preferred), Azure/GCP is a plus
  • Databases: RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar) DevOps & Platform Expertise
  • Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines in complex environments
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools
  • Exposure to SaaS / distributed architectures Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in production environments
  • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Team-oriented with strong collaboration mindset
  • Proactive and continuous improvement mindset Experience

SKILLS

Must have

  • 1-2 years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD
  • Hands-on experience in production or client-facing environments preferred
