5G/4G Physical Layer Firmware Verification and Integration Engineer (m/f/d)

Join Apple's innovative team where you will contribute to the development and verification of cutting-edge wireless technologies. We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Verification and Integration Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our 4G/5G firmware. You will be a key member of a cross-functional team, collaborating with component validation, integration, protocol test, firmware development, and system engineering teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Expertise in 4G/5G 3GPP physical layer and protocol stack procedures and configurations.
• Demonstrated experience in Modem system test plan and feature release planning for 4G/5G functional and performance scenarios.
• Strong understanding of 4G/5G signaling and physical layer test equipment, including their automation interfaces.
• Excellent analytical and debugging skills, with the ability to diagnose complex issues and collaborate effectively with development/design teams for resolution.
• Proficiency with source code control tools.
• Ability to quickly adapt and learn new architectures and frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools and techniques for test optimization, data analysis, or complex system verification.
• Fluent English language skills are required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s degree, or higher degree in Electrical and/or Communication Engineering and/or Computer Science, or a related field, paired with several years of relevant industry work experience.
• Experience with network emulators, silicon prototyping, emulation systems, and virtual platforms would be a plus
• Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java) is beneficial.
