Our client is a leading global Financial market data provider who runs a number of change programs to deliver high-quality software that connects Financial Markets across the globe in a real-time, high-frequency, and low-latency data management chain. The projects are technically challenging in an environment that is very engaging.

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Python or Java to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for backend systems and services running under Linux, AWS, and Windows, with capabilities to collaborate in a team-focused environment and coordinate work with BA, Dev, Operational, and cross-functional application teams.

Responsibilities

  • - Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Python or Java

    • Create detailed test plans, test cases, and coordinate testing activities
    • Develop and execute automation scripts for API, integration, and regression testing
    • Identify, record, document, and track bugs; perform regression testing when resolved
    • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipeline integrations for automated test execution
    • Liaise with internal teams to identify system requirements and resolve quality issues
    • Track quality assurance metrics and stay up-to-date with new testing tools and strategies
    • Knowledge of tools such as Git, Jira, TestRail, Confluence

    SKILLS

    Must have

    • - Strong Python or Java development skills for test automation
    • 5+ years of relevant experience in software testing
    • hands-on experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks (e.g. pytest, Robot Framework, TestNG, Selenium)
    • Experience in API automation testing (REST/SOAP)
    • A good Linux background
    • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)
    • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle
    • Practical expertise in both manual and automated testing methodologies and tools

    Nice to have

    - Familiarity with banking, financial concepts, financial data, and market data

  • Knowledge of protocols and any experience with client/server implementations/API or testing message sequences over socket/websocket connections
