The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.
US: $147000 - $210000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

- Write product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development programming in Swift and TypeScript.
- 2 years of experience with mobile application development iOS.
- Experience with UI development frameworks (e.g., SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose) or SDK development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Experience developing across multiple mobile platforms, with specific exposure to Android development.
