We are looking for a Data Analyst / Analytics Engineer to join the Power Forecasts product team. You will work with customer and time-series data to support power grid forecasts and help transform manual forecasting processes into automated, data-driven workflows.
You will combine data analysis, Python development, data modelling, and visualization to generate insights that support grid development, investments, reinvestments, and business decisions.
This is you
4 years of experience working with large datasets, preferably customer data and time-series data
Experience with data analysis, data manipulation, data modelling, and communicating insights to stakeholders
3 of experience writing clean and efficient code in Python or a similar programming language
Professional experience with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate complex findings and key insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience in the power grid industry or broader energy sector
Relevant academic degree, for example in Engineering Physics, Energy Systems, Electrical Power, or another relevant technical field
This is your role
Automate parts of the power forecasting process that were previously performed manually by developing Python solutions in a Databricks environment
Analyze customer and time-series data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve forecasting methodologies
Investigate and develop potential improvements to existing forecasting approaches in collaboration with colleagues from different areas of expertise
Build and improve Power BI reports, including data modelling, calculations, and new functionality
Update power forecasts for specific regions and areas by processing input data and generating quantitative and qualitative insights
Collaborate with municipalities and local grid customers to collect and clarify relevant input data
Investigate data availability and collect, combine, and prepare data from different sources
Perform data quality checks and ensure the reliability and consistency of analytical outputs
Prepare and present findings and forecasting results to relevant stakeholders
