Role

We are looking for a highly motivated engineer who is comfortable with uncertainty and embraces startup agility. As an early full-time engineer, you’ll work directly with the CTO to develop user-focused product experiences.

Responsibilities

• Build full-stack product experiences including onboarding platforms and testnet dashboards
• Integrate blockchain calls with smart contract engineers
• Collaborate with designers on responsive frontend interfaces
• Design resilient backend architecture supporting APIs, databases, and indexers
• Optimize code for reduced latency and increased reliability

In your first 30 days

• Complete team and codebase onboarding
• Understand product prioritization at Plume
• Ship 2+ features and improvements to the onboarding platform
• Design backend architecture for the testnet campaign dashboard
• Lead weekly QA sessions and present product demos

In your first 90 days

• Launch the incentivized testnet campaign dashboard
• Integrate Plume chain with monitoring and alerting infrastructure
• Collaborate with the CTO on security policies
• Propose novel Plume mainnet product experiences
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in hiring

Qualifications

• Hands-on Web3 development experience with production dapps serving 1,000+ users (project work excluded; Web3 experience mandatory)
• 5+ years software engineering experience at reputable startups or major tech companies
• 3+ years frontend/full-stack development: React, NodeJS, Express, Docker, AWS, Solidity (not Java)
• 3+ years backend/full-stack development experience
• Based in Canada or the US
• Familiarity with AWS or equivalent cloud provider experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering (or exceptional work history)
