About the Role
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to own and continuously improve the testing and validation of our robotics products.
You will test the complete system, including Android applications, robotics software, hardware integrations, cloud services, and autonomous workflows. The role combines hands-on testing with test automation and requires thinking beyond individual software features to validate how the entire robotic system behaves in real-world scenarios.
You will work closely with robotics, software, hardware, product, and field teams to identify issues early, improve product reliability, and ensure every release is ready for deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases for robotics products and applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Build and maintain automated testing infrastructure and test workflows.
- Test Android applications used to operate and configure robotic systems.
- Validate complete workflows such as robot connection, mission loading, operation, stopping, reporting, and configuration.
- Run tests using HITL/simulation environments as well as physical robotic systems.
- Develop and maintain long-running reliability and endurance tests, including overnight and multi-hour operation.
- Perform exploratory and randomized testing to identify unexpected failures and edge cases.
- Validate new features and releases and ensure existing functionality is not affected.
- Reproduce, document, and track issues with clear steps, logs, and supporting data.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to investigate failures and verify fixes.
- Continuously improve testing processes, automation coverage, and release quality.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in software QA, test automation, system testing, or a related role.
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with software testing methodologies and test automation.
- Experience testing complex systems involving multiple software and hardware components.
- Experience developing automated tests using Python or similar scripting languages.
- Experience with Android application testing.
- Experience with API and integration testing.
- Comfortable working with Linux and command-line tools.
- Ability to analyze logs, system behavior, and failures across multiple components.
- Familiarity with Git, JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of regression testing, release validation, and defect management.
