We are looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer – SDET to drive quality engineering, test automation, and software development initiatives across front-end and back-end applications. This role is ideal for a strong software engineer who combines hands-on programming expertise with a deep understanding of automation, quality engineering, cloud platforms, and modern software development practices.
You will play a key role in building scalable automation frameworks, developing automated and unit tests, validating production applications, and embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and test suites for front-end and back-end applications.
- Develop automated and unit tests using Python, Java, or Node.js/JavaScript.
- Apply strong Object-Oriented Programming, software design, and engineering principles to test automation.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and engineering stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
- Develop and execute test scenarios using Gherkin and BDD methodologies.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve quality issues across applications, APIs, and distributed services.
- Integrate automated testing and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
- Support testing and deployment of cloud-based applications, particularly within AWS environments.
- Validate distributed systems and messaging platforms such as Kafka, Amazon SQS, and Kinesis.
- Participate actively in Agile/Lean practices, including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and technical discussions.
- Manage test cases, defects, and project documentation using Jira, Xray, and Confluence.
- Monitor application quality and performance using tools such as SonarQube, Grafana, and Datadog.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of automation frameworks, testing strategies, engineering standards, and quality processes.
- Mentor team members and promote strong engineering and quality practices across development teams.
What's Makes You a Great Fit
- 7+ years of experience in SDET, Software Engineering, SRE, Quality Engineering, or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience in automated and unit testing of front-end and back-end applications and services.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Java, or Node.js/JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of OOP, software design principles, and scalable automation architecture.
- Experience working in Agile or Lean software development environments.
- Hands-on experience with Git, Jira, Confluence, and standard SDLC practices.
- Strong coding and debugging skills with an ability to build maintainable automation solutions.
- Experience with production development using Python, Flask, Django, React, or Node.js is an advantage.
- Strong backend development experience using Python or Java.
- Experience building and deploying applications on AWS, including awareness of cost and performance optimization.
- Exposure to Kafka, Amazon SQS, or Kinesis and distributed system testing.
- Proficiency in Gherkin and BDD-based automation.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Spinnaker is preferred.
- Familiarity with SonarQube, Grafana, and Datadog for code quality, monitoring, and observability.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, containers, and distributed systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
- A strong sense of ownership with the ability to drive quality across the entire software development lifecycle.
