VetsEZ is seeking a Data Quality Analyst & Tester to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Data Migration and Management (DMM) Support Services for Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM). This role is critical to ensure that data migrated from VistA through VX130 to Oracle Health is complete, correct, traceable, and ready to support bulk migration, cutover, and VA site go-live activities.

Responsibilities:

• Execute and monitor daily Data Quality (DQ) checks across multiple VA sites and large datasets using DMM / IRIS data-quality tools.

• Investigate data-quality discrepancies, identify root causes, coordinate corrective actions, and drive issues through resolution to protect Data Migration integrity.

• Validate migration queries, extracts, transformed data, and transmitted data for completeness and correctness in support of bulk migration, cutover, and site go-live activities.

• Partner with InterSystems IRIS developers, VA staff, Oracle Health, and appropriate SMEs to research and resolve migration-data discrepancies and validation issues.

• Prepare, maintain, and support weekly Data Quality reporting demonstrating results against VA / DMM-defined standards, and provide accurate status for Weekly Progress Reporting.

• Gather requirements, implement, test, and deploy new or enhanced Data Quality capabilities, checks, queries, and reporting functions.

• Create, validate, and troubleshoot SQL queries and data extracts across multiple clinical and administrative data domains.

• Monitor DQ applications and supporting environments, identify application/server issues, and coordinate resolution with the appropriate engineering or platform teams.

• Administer DQ application access and permissions as assigned and maintain accurate documentation of DQ tools, checks, processes, and operating procedures.

• Facilitate recurring Data Quality meetings and communicate status, findings, risks, and resolution plans clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Use and support DMM applications such as the Data Quality Tool, Data Quality Control Panel, Journal File Search, Enterprise Domain Activity by Site, Query Management Tool, Cutover Check Application, Data Migration Event Tracker, and DMM Ticketing System.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline.

• Experience performing data validation, data-quality analysis, testing, reconciliation, or troubleshooting across large datasets.

• Strong SQL skills, including the ability to create and validate ad hoc queries used for investigation and reconciliation.

• Experience with automation, monitoring, data mapping, testing, or analytical tools.

• Knowledge of database architecture, data integrity concepts, and security considerations for on-premises and cloud-hosted systems.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies, identify patterns, and communicate clear findings and recommended actions.

• Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to lead technical discussions and present findings to customers and stakeholders.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with InterSystems IRIS / Caché, VistA, VX130, or VA healthcare data.

• Familiarity with Linux, Kubernetes / containers, Power BI, GitHub / Azure DevOps, and Agile / Scrum environments.

• Experience supporting data migration, cutover validation, or healthcare data reconciliation.

• Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other federal healthcare environments.

• Ability to obtain and maintain the required Government background investigation / access authorization.

Security Clearance Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship is required.

All selected candidates must successfully complete a background check.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance, including required fingerprinting, when required for the position.
