Tasks
Your Mission
We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to design mechanical components in SolidWorks and run the structured hardware testing - Python-driven test scripts, sensor validation and calibration- that helps us select the best components for our interceptor drone.
Core Responsibilities
- Test and compare new sensor components (IMU, camera, GPS) to identify the best option
- Run and adapt Python scripts to execute structured hardware tests, adjust parameters, and capture measurement data
- Establish calibration set-ups and best parameters for various sensors
- Design and iterate on mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
Requirements
Required
- BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering – industry experience required
- Comfortable running and adapting Python scripts to drive sensor tests, adjust parameters, and log data
- Strong SolidWorks proficiency (3D modelling, assemblies, drawings) and 3D printing prototyping
- Hands-on prototyping experience – you build what you design
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup with long hours when the mission demands it
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with sensor integration (IMU, camera, GPS) on drones, robots, or embedded platforms
- Background in drone or UAV mechanical design
