Partner Solutions Engineer
As a part of the Shopping Partner Engineering, you will serve as the technical bridge between Google and the global commerce ecosystem. You will enable retailers, aggregators, and platforms to integrate with Google's commerce products and surfaces via the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP), Merchant API, and Google Business Profile API.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

- Act as the technical lead for early-stage retailer pilots in EMEA, providing technical guidance, architectural reviews, and integration support.
- Develop code samples, technical tools, and integration recipes on developers.google.com to expedite partner testing and validation.
- Provide high-touch technical subject matter expertise, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for strategic retail partners within defined service level agreements.
- Collaborate closely with Core Engineering and Product Management teams across California, London, and Zurich to test new protocol capabilities and harden specifications.
- Synthesize pilot edge cases, partner telemetry, and technical feedback to advocate for product and feature improvements backed by data.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in computer engineering, software development, or building technical tools, including writing code to create solutions.
- 3 years of experience in a consulting, partner engineering, or client-facing technical role.
- 3 years of experience in operations management (e.g., process improvement, operational reviews, workflow optimization).
- Experience with web technologies (HTTP/REST, JSON) and programming in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or Java.
- Experience working with e-commerce platforms, APIs, webhooks, or merchant integration ecosystems.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with APIs, webhooks, and modern programming languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, Java).
