Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to act as a trusted technical advisor to both prospects and customers. This role requires deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and observability, along with the ability to design, explain, and implement scalable observability architectures in cloud-native environments.
You will work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to drive successful customer outcomes and influence the product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Solution Design
- Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer architectures and observability needs
- Design and propose end-to-end observability solutions using OpenObserve
- Own architecture discussions covering scalability, security, performance, and cost optimization
- Conduct technical demos, deep dives, and proof-of-concepts (POCs)
Post-Sales & Customer Enablement
- Guide customers through onboarding, deployment, and production rollouts
- Serve as the technical escalation point for complex customer issues
- Advise customers on observability best practices across logs, metrics, and traces
- Help customers optimize Kubernetes and cloud observability at scale
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to influence solution design and roadmap priorities
- Provide structured feedback from the field to improve product usability and performance
- Create reference architectures, technical documentation, and enablement content
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering role
- Expert-level proficiency in AWS, including EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including EKS, cluster architecture, networking, and troubleshooting
- Deep expertise in observability: logs, metrics, traces, and OpenTelemetry
- Experience with observability platforms such as OpenObserve, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, or ELK
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both engineers and business stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience contributing to or supporting open-source projects
- Hands-on knowledge of Docker, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines
- Background in SRE or operating large-scale production environments
- Experience working with enterprise customers and handling security reviews
