💼 JOB DESCRIPTION
We are hiring a Pipeline - Software Developer with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset to join our technical department. Whether you already have extensive professional experience or you are an emerging talent with a solid software development foundation, we want to hear from you.
You will help design, develop, and maintain the tools and systems that support our productions. You will work closely with artists, technical teams, and production departments, translating real production needs into reliable and practical software solutions.
Your work may involve developing user interfaces, production tools, APIs and integrations, working with production tracking systems and databases, and improving the architecture that connects the different applications and services used throughout the studio.
✍️ RESPONSABILITIES
Develop, maintain, and optimize software tools and user interfaces for the studio's production pipeline.
Design reusable and maintainable Python applications, libraries, APIs, and software components.
Develop integrations between DCC applications, production tracking systems, internal services, APIs, and databases.
Develop and maintain pipeline tools designed to work reliably across different operating systems and production environments (Windows, macOS, and Linux).
Address and resolve complex technical problems that arise during production in an agile and efficient manner.
Collaborate closely with Hampa Studio's creative, production, and technical teams, translating artistic and production needs into practical software solutions.
Contribute to the continuous improvement and evolution of the studio's pipeline architecture and development practices.
📋 REQUIREMENTS
Education: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Programming: Strong proficiency in Python is required.
Software Development: Experience developing maintainable software, with a good understanding of modular design, debugging, version control, and software development best practices.
Version Control: Experience working with Git or similar version control systems.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to investigate and solve complex technical problems.
Communication: Ability to work and communicate effectively with both technical and artistic profiles.
Experience in the animation and/or VFX industry is highly valued, particularly with tools and environments such as ShotGrid, Autodesk Maya, Houdini, or Nuke.
Previous experience with all of these applications is not required.

💡NICE TO HAVE
The following skills are not required, but they will be highly valued:
Experience developing desktop interfaces using Qt / PySide.
Experience with ShotGrid Toolkit or other production pipeline frameworks.
Knowledge of USD (Universal Scene Description) and modern scene-description workflows.
Experience working with REST APIs, databases, or internal services.
Knowledge of C++.
Experience with render farms, distributed computing environments, or render management systems.
Good written English, particularly for technical documentation and working with industry-standard tools and resources.
