Aspire Software is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our team in Lebanon.

Here is a little window into our company: Aspire Software operates and manages wholly owned software companies, providing mission-critical solutions across multiple verticals. By implementing industry best practices, Aspire delivers a time sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio.

About the Job:

You will work closely with our Senior Integrations Engineer and within the Platform, Data and Security function, collaborating directly with external technical partners, internal product and engineering teams, and a codebase that spans modern TypeScript microservices and a mature .NET API. Critically, you will be expected to use AI-enabled development workflows not as a productivity shortcut but as a genuine engineering methodology: taking loosely defined integration requirements and using Claude Code and agentic tooling to plan, refine, and deliver production-quality outcomes. If you want to build things that matter, work in an environment that is serious about AI-native engineering, and grow your skills across a genuinely interesting technical domain, this is the role.

Key responsibilities

Integration design and delivery

  • Design, build, and maintain integrations between the NBI platform and third-party systems including POS providers, payment processors, CRM platforms, and marketing tools, using the target TypeScript and AWS Lambda microservices stack.
  • Own the full integration lifecycle for assigned partners: technical discovery, API contract design, build, testing, deployment, and ongoing reliability monitoring.
  • Work within our existing .NET and SQL-based integration layer where required, reading and understanding legacy implementations to inform refactoring, extend capability, or resolve production issues without introducing regression.
  • Ensure all integrations are built to be robust, observable, and maintainable, with appropriate error handling, retry logic, and alerting in place from the start.

Technical partner engagement

  • Engage directly with third-party technical teams to understand API contracts, negotiate integration approaches, and resolve ambiguities during implementation.
  • Represent NBI professionally in technical discussions with external partners, translating business requirements into clear integration specifications and surfacing risks or constraints early.
  • Document integration contracts, data flows, and operational runbooks clearly, ensuring the team can support and extend integrations beyond the initial build.

AI-enabled engineering and delivery quality

  • Use Claude Code and agentic AI workflows as a core part of how you work: from decomposing a loosely defined integration requirement into a structured delivery plan, through scaffolding, iterative refinement, and test generation, to final production-ready output.
  • Apply strong engineering judgement to AI-generated output; you know how to verify correctness at integration boundaries, catch hallucinated API behaviour, and hold quality standards even when AI tooling is doing a large share of the drafting.
  • Contribute to the team's evolving norms around AI-augmented engineering: what works, what does not, where human judgement is non-negotiable, and how to structure tasks for reliable AIassisted execution.
  • Work within the Shape Up delivery model, engaging with pitches during shaping, committing to delivery within cycle, and surfacing scope or complexity concerns proactively rather than after the fact.
  • Collaborate closely with the QA function to ensure integrations are testable, with agreed acceptance criteria, contract tests, and monitoring in place before delivery is considered complete.
  • Use Linear, Notion, and GitLab as standard tooling across work tracking, documentation, and CI/CD.

About you

You are an engineer who takes integration work seriously as a discipline, not just plumbing between systems. You understand that the quality of an integration shows up in production at the worst possible moment, so you build with reliability and observability in mind from the start. You are comfortable working across both modern serverless architectures and legacy codebases, and you communicate clearly enough with technical partners to get integrations right the first time rather than the third.

Equally important: you are an experienced practitioner of AI-native engineering. You do not use Claude Code to autocomplete lines of code. You use it to think through an approach, decompose ambiguous requirements into executable steps, generate and iterate on implementation, and produce output you are prepared to own and defend. You have enough experience with agentic workflows to know their limits, and enough engineering rigour to close the gap where they fall short.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; able to engage with technical partners and internal teams across time zones with clarity and professionalism
  • Strong commercial experience building and maintaining third-party integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven patterns
  • Solid Node.js and TypeScript development experience, with the ability to build production-quality backend services and integrations independently
  • Ability to read, understand, and work within a .NET / C# codebase; you do not need to be a .NET specialist, but you cannot be blocked by one
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases; comfortable writing and reviewing queries, understanding data access patterns, and reasoning about integration data flows
  • Demonstrated experience using Claude Code or equivalent agentic AI tooling as a core part of your engineering workflow; able to take a loosely defined capability, structure it into a delivery plan using AI, and drive it through to production-quality output with appropriate verification at each stage
  • Strong engineering judgement when working with AI-generated code; you know what to trust, what to verify, and what to rewrite, particularly at API boundaries and in integration-critical paths.
  • Strong attention to detail in API contract design, error handling, and edge-case coverage; integrations you build do not silently fail

Highly desirable

  • Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and serverless architectures, including event-driven patterns and infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform
  • Experience integrating with POS systems, payment processors, or hospitality platforms in a commercial environment
  • Familiarity with AI agent orchestration, prompt engineering for code generation tasks, and context management in multi-step agentic workflows
  • Familiarity with observability tooling (Datadog or equivalent) for monitoring integration health, alerting on failures, and diagnosing production issues
  • Experience working in Linear, Notion, and GitLab as a day-to-day engineering toolchain
  • Experience working in Shape Up, Kanban, or other non-sprint delivery models with a strong sense of personal delivery accountability
  • Exposure to multi-region or multi-market SaaS environments, where integration behaviour may vary by geography or partner configuration

What's in it for you

You will be working on integrations that restaurant operators depend on every day, at a moment when the team is actively rebuilding how those integrations work. The shift from a complex legacy integration layer to a modern, event-driven microservices architecture is a genuine technical problem, and you will have real ownership of meaningful parts of it. The work spans new partner onboarding into North America, the modernisation of existing POS and payment integrations, and an engineering culture that treats AI-native delivery as a first-class discipline. If you want to grow your skills across serverless architecture, integration design, and agentic engineering on a platform that touches tens of thousands of venues, you will find genuine scope to do that here.
