Why This Role Matters As a backend engineer, you'll help shape the core logic that powers real-time, intelligent workflows across manufacturing, inventory, and supply chain. Your work will unlock faster decisions, tighter coordination, and adaptive operations for the people driving the defense tech revolution.

What You'll Own

• Architecting and implementing backend services in Python with PostgreSQL
• Designing and exposing GraphQL APIs to support AI agents and real-time frontends
• Building secure, scalable models for production, procurement, and inventory
• Optimizing database performance and ensuring system reliability at scale
• Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, Docker-based environments, and deployment workflows
• Enabling real-time orchestration across human and AI agents

What You Bring

• 5+ years of backend or full-stack experience with production systems
• Mastery of Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL
• Experience designing modern APIs with GraphQL
• A track record of owning features end to end — from design to deployment
• Comfort with ambiguity, fast iteration, and cross-disciplinary problem-solving
• Bonus: Familiarity with FedRAMP, ITAR/DFARS, and secure multi-tenant architectures
• Bonus: Experience with WebSockets, real-time systems, and frontend debugging in React
