Telematics exposes the internal car ecosystem to the Internet: the car becomes an element of the Internet of Things (IoT), offering a new level of access to car’s functionalities and a platform to build additional features in areas such as safety, security, comfort.<br/>You are responsible for the Platform SW and External SW Components and are the main specialist for these topics in our maintenance projects.<br/> <br/><b>What You Will Do</b></p><ul><li>Analyze customer requirements allocated to software and map them to new or existing software architectures.</li><li>Evaluate and document the software architecture and present it to internal management, sales representatives, and at customer meetings.</li><li>Manage the implementation of the software architecture with local and remote development teams.</li><li>Ensure alignment with the strategic goal of platformization of software components</li><li>Perform technical analysis and assessment of customer requirements (RFC, RFI, RFQ).</li><li>Resolve inconsistencies in unclear technical requirements through direct communication with the customer.</li><li>Consider Harman processes, Automotive SPICE, and functional safety requirements.</li><li>Review HDD and DDD and verify them against product features, ensuring requirements traceability.</li><li>Act as the main contact person internally and towards the customer for evaluation of new concepts.</li><li>Provide impact analysis for design changes and accurate estimates for time and cost of customer-specific requirements.</li><li>Develop and test software components (white-box testing) based on design documentation.</li><li>Analyze malfunctions regarding response time, stability, robustness of components, and overall system behavior.</li><li>Identify and predict root causes of reported system issues.</li><li>Act as a technical expert and consultant for the assigned area, advising customers on best practices.</li><li>Mentor and coach less experienced engineers.</li><li>Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and in-car software development processes.</li><li>Monitor development status and software quality through design and code reviews.</li><li>Perform bug fixing and maintenance tasks for delivered software components.<br/> </li></ul><p><b>What You Need to Be Successful</b></p><ul><li>4+ years of experience as a software developer</li><li>Automotive experience </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another relevant IT-related field</li><li>Good knowledge of C++</li><li>Linux expertise</li><li>Experience in developing embedded applications</li><li>Experience with OpenSSL, TLS</li><li>Experience with SomeIP, CAPI, DBus, TCP, UDP protocols</li><li>Software Update</li><li>System Functions (Diagnostics, DTCs)</li><li>AUTOSAR expertise (software components, RTE, BSW)</li><li>Knowledge of inter-process communication, threading, socket communication</li><li>Working knowledge of software development processes</li><li>Debug/Remote debug using software or hardware debuggers</li><li>Working knowledge of embedded operating systems</li><li>Design processes or components (HDD,CDD)</li><li>Define and create unit tests</li><li>Good written and spoken English skills<br/></li></ul><p><b>Bonus Points if You Have </b></p><ul><li>Good knowledge about cryptographic algorithms</li><li>Good knowledge about memory-protection techniques</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What Makes You Eligible</b></p><ul><li>Successfully complete a background investigation.</li><li>Willingness to work in a hybrid model, 3 days per week from our Bucharest office.<br/> </li></ul><p><b>What We Offer</b></p><ul><li>Flexible work environment</li><li>Access to employee discounts on world-class Harman and Samsung products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, etc.)</li><li>Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN University</li><li>Competitive wellness benefits</li><li>“Be Brilliant” employee recognition and rewards program</li><li>An inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development<br/> </li></ul><p>#LI-MK1<br/>#LI-hybrid</p>
