About the Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a leadership role in the design and development of mission-critical systems that enable spiderSilk’s cutting-edge cybersecurity platform. You’ll mentor junior engineers, lead project initiatives, and ensure technical excellence across the board.

Requirements:

• Deep expertise in one or more languages such as Python, Java and building solutions working at high scale.
  Experience with distributed systems and scalable architectures.Familiarity with security principles and secure coding practices.

• Proven ability to lead projects and mentor other engineers.Proficient with AI tools supporting operations & development.

• Strong grasp of software design patterns and their practical trade-offs - Proven experience building and operating systems that handle high daily traffic volumes

• Hands-on expertise with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning

• Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and common security tooling

• Practical fluency with AI tooling and prompt engineering in day-to-day development work

• Collaborative mindset with a track record of working effectively across a team
  
  Nice to have:

• Working knowledge of vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector) and graph databases (e.g. Neo4j)
