Job Title: Oracle APEX & Oracle Fusion Cloud Solutions Architect

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle APEX & Oracle Fusion Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the architecture, design, development, integration, and delivery of a custom Agent Billing platform as part of Project Fusion. The solution will support the calculation, review, approval, reconciliation, and invoicing of monthly agent charges that are not supported natively within Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.

The successful candidate will architect and build a scalable Oracle PaaS-based application using Oracle APEX, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle Fusion REST APIs, and Oracle Database technologies. The platform will operate as a billing orchestration and calculation engine tightly integrated with Oracle Fusion Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Projects, Customer, Supplier, and AP/AR Netting processes.

The role requires strong hands-on Oracle architecture and development expertise, with the ability to translate complex business billing requirements into secure, scalable, maintainable solutions and provide technical leadership from requirements through production implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Business Analysis

• Work with business stakeholders, finance teams, product owners, and Oracle functional teams to understand agent billing processes, business rules, exceptions, approvals, reconciliation requirements, and invoicing scenarios.
• Translate business requirements into end-to-end solution architecture, application components, data models, integration flows, security controls, and implementation roadmaps.
• Design the Agent Billing platform as an extension to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP capabilities without unnecessarily duplicating native Fusion functionality.
• Define functional and technical boundaries between Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Oracle APEX, Oracle Database, OIC, and supporting PaaS services.
• Design scalable architecture capable of supporting monthly billing cycles, high transaction volumes, auditability, traceability, and future business expansion.

Oracle APEX & Application Development

• Design and develop enterprise-grade applications using Oracle APEX, including user interfaces, interactive reports, dashboards, forms, workflows, validations, and role-based functionality.
• Build robust calculation and billing orchestration logic for monthly agent charges, including configurable business rules, adjustments, exceptions, approvals, and reconciliation.
• Design reusable APEX components and application patterns following Oracle development and enterprise architecture standards.
• Implement application-level audit trails, status tracking, exception management, and operational reporting.
• Optimize APEX applications for performance, usability, maintainability, and secure enterprise deployment.

Oracle Fusion Cloud Integration & OIC

• Architect and implement integrations between Oracle APEX and Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST APIs, and other appropriate Oracle integration mechanisms.
• Integrate with Oracle Fusion Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Projects, Customer, Supplier, and AP/AR Netting processes.
• Design reliable integration patterns for data synchronization, transaction creation/update, status retrieval, error handling, retries, reconciliation, and monitoring.
• Develop and maintain OIC integrations, mappings, transformations, orchestration flows, and exception-handling mechanisms.
• Ensure integration designs are loosely coupled, secure, scalable, observable, and aligned with Oracle Fusion Cloud integration standards.

Billing, Reconciliation & Financial Processing

• Architect the end-to-end lifecycle for agent charge calculation, review, approval, reconciliation, and invoicing.
• Design calculation engines and configurable rules to accommodate complex monthly agent billing scenarios not natively supported by Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.
• Design reconciliation processes between the custom billing platform and Oracle Fusion financial transactions.
• Support integration with AR invoicing, AP processing, customer and supplier master data, project-related transactions, and AP/AR Netting.
• Ensure financial data integrity, transaction traceability, controls, and auditability across the billing lifecycle.

Database & Data Architecture

• Design Oracle Database schemas, data models, tables, views, stored procedures, packages, functions, sequences, indexes, and data access patterns supporting the platform.
• Develop efficient SQL and PL/SQL for billing calculations, data processing, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Define data retention, audit, archival, performance, and data-quality strategies.
• Optimize database performance and ensure appropriate transaction management and concurrency controls.

Security, Performance & Production Readiness

• Design application and integration security including authentication, authorization, role-based access, API security, secrets management, and least-privilege principles.
• Ensure appropriate segregation of duties and access controls for billing preparation, review, approval, reconciliation, and financial processing.
• Define performance, scalability, availability, logging, monitoring, and operational support requirements.
• Lead technical reviews, architecture governance, code reviews, deployment readiness, and production support transition.
• Identify technical risks, integration dependencies, performance bottlenecks, and architectural constraints and drive mitigation plans.

Delivery & Technical Leadership

• Lead the solution through architecture, development, testing, deployment, and stabilization phases.
• Work closely with Oracle functional consultants, developers, QA, integration teams, business stakeholders, and customer IT teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to APEX, OIC, database, and integration developers.
• Create architecture documents, interface specifications, data models, technical design documents, deployment plans, and operational documentation.
• Promote reusable integration, APEX, database, and Oracle Fusion solution patterns and engineering best practices.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Stay current with Oracle APEX, Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Oracle Database, REST APIs, and Oracle PaaS capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve automation, reduce manual reconciliation, and increase billing accuracy.
• Contribute to reusable Oracle accelerators, reference architectures, development standards, and technical best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Oracle application development, solution architecture, enterprise application integration, or technology consulting.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle APEX application development and enterprise solution architecture.
• Proven experience designing and implementing Oracle Fusion Cloud integrations, preferably across Financials modules.
• Strong experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST APIs, Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Experience working with business stakeholders and translating complex financial/business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience leading technical teams and delivering enterprise applications in production environments.
