Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure including EC2, RDS/Aurora, VPC, ELB, CloudWatch.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments.
• Operate and scale Kafka clusters and streaming workloads.
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor system performance, reliability and cost usage across environments.
• Maintain observability stacks for logging, metrics and alerting.
• Ensure security best practices across IAM, networking and secrets management.

Requirements

• Be available 24/7 in case of emergencies
• Strong communicator
• Strong experience with AWS (EC2, RDS/Aurora, networking, monitoring).
• Hands-on expertise with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Practical experience operating Kafka or similar streaming systems.
• Proficiency with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
• Solid Linux, networking and scripting skills (Python, Bash).
• Understanding of distributed systems, database fundamentals and cloud architecture.

This position is paid hourly based on time worked.
