We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in AI-Augmented Software Engineering. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide academic leadership for research and teaching in this emerging area within the Department of Computer Science.

You will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking and directing original research of the highest standard in Computer Science.

  • Developing national and international research collaborations.

  • Actively contributing to and enhancing the teaching programmes of the Department of Computer Science at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

  • Contributing to the management and administration of the Department’s activities and the broader objectives of the Department.

About You

Essential Criteria

  • A PhD or equivalent (including industrial) experience in any area of Computer Science.

  • A record of high-quality publications in the best Computer Science outlets.

  • Experience of planning and developing teaching materials.

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise postgraduate students successfully.

  • Demonstrated ability to enthusiastically teach aspects of undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes in Computer Science and to develop innovative teaching.

Desirable Criteria

  • Demonstrable success in research funding applications.
  • Experience in teaching and assessing undergraduate or post-graduate students.
  • Experience in supervising postgraduate research students to completion.
