AI & GENAI Technology Platform Engineer

Overview

Within the Data & Artificial Intelligence Office, specifically in the A.I. Delivery Center structure and the A.I. & GENAI Technology Platform office, you will be responsible for the evolution of the corporate AI platform with a focus on scalability, security, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of cross-functional, reusable, and scalable AI solutions using Databricks. You will work within multidisciplinary teams, interacting with other bank structures (e.g., Cyber, other application factories).

What your activities will be

• Develop and industrialize ML/AI models (training, deployment, monitoring)
• Define and implement MLOps pipelines (CI/CD, versioning, monitoring)
• Design AI solutions on enterprise platforms (Databricks and OpenShift/Kubernetes)
• Integrate advanced models (e.g., Azure OpenAI, Google AI) into application solutions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate business needs into scalable AI solutions
• Ensure security, compliance, and explainability of models
• Contribute to the design and development of architectures based on AI agents
• Support the technical growth of more junior team members

Who we are looking for

If you have the following characteristics, we are waiting for you:

• 3-5 years of experience in AI projects
• Excellent knowledge of Python
• Experience in end-to-end development of ML solutions (training, deployment, monitoring)
• Experience with containerized environments (Kubernetes/OpenShift)
• Experience with cloud platforms and AI service integration (Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience with Apache Spark/PySpark for large-scale data management and transformation on Databricks
• Knowledge of MLOps tools and model lifecycle management (e.g., MLflow)
• Experience in integrating generative AI models and LLMs (Azure OpenAI, Gemini)
• Fluent in Italian and English.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related STEM disciplines.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience in developing AI agents or agent-based architectures
• Knowledge of advanced orchestration patterns (e.g., prompt engineering, RAG, AI workflows)
• Use of AI-assisted development tools.
