Software Engineer

We're seeking a Software Engineer to join our back-end teams, specialising in building and maintaining scalable APIs that bring our skill intelligence to large enterprises. You'll collaborate with talented engineers to design and build scalable back-end systems, sharing best practices along the way. You're a strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment, and you find fulfilment in helping colleagues achieve their full potential.

What you'll do:

• Software Engineering: Build enterprise-ready API features (Python, Django, Docker) with CI/CD, observability (Prometheus, Sentry), and cost optimization in AWS environments.

• Help with System Design: participate in designing and implementing systems and in optimising current ones for performance and/or cost control

• Bring your best practices to the table: championing software development standards, testing methodologies, and efficient development processes

• Collaboration: working closely with cross-functional product teams to understand and translate requirements into solutions

• Mentorship: Work closely together and coach other engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and active knowledge sharing.

Who you are:

• You have 1-4 years of practical experience in a software engineering role.

• You have a genuine passion for technology, coupled with a desire to learn and innovate

• You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and possess the problem-solving abilities to effectively address new challenges.

• You have experience with building serverless Python microservices on AWS

• You’re proficient in software development methodologies

• You exhibit excellent communication and teamwork

• You're based in Belgium and excited to work together with the TechWolf team in our Ghent office at least three days per week.

• Bonus: overall experience with AI-first ways of working
