Software Engineer, Haptics Framework and Android Experience, Pixel

As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.

- Design, implement, test and ship Haptics features.
- Collaborate with partners, including 0p/1p app owners and research team to build robust features.
- Work with cross-functional parties, including Product Managers, Program Managers, UX and haptics designers to deliver the right features on time.
- Debug and fix problems within the Haptics stack.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java or Kotlin), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience with Android development and familiarity with Android development process.
- Strong interest in developing user-facing features.
- Strong communication skills.
