How you make an impact

As a Software Engineer, you build new features and improve existing code. You contribute to technical decisions and work with your team on a stable, secure, and future-proof product. For example, you will be involved in:

• New features for talent management and onboarding.
• Tooling that makes cloud recovery tasks smarter and faster.
• Integrations with external systems, such as webshops.
• Security improvements, such as passkey login methods.

You code, review, and test. You share your knowledge within your team and with the entire group of developers. This is how we stay sharp and grow technically together.

How you grow as a software engineer

You start at your own level. Whether you are a starter or already have experience: you get the space to grow in a way that suits you. In both cases, the following applies: we look at what you can do, what you want to learn, and what gives you energy.

• Are you a starter?

Then you will receive guidance from experienced colleagues, work together on tickets, and get to know our codebase step by step. You will grow in independence and technical depth.

• Do you already have experience?

Then you will pick up work independently more quickly, contribute to technical solutions, and help colleagues move forward with your knowledge and experience.

At AFAS, we work with more than 150 enthusiastic people on our software, from documentalist and developer to designer and product manager. Our 70+ developers are divided into different teams and work together on various projects and with different technologies.

We have developed our own front-end and back-end frameworks, which we use for all our new developments. As a software engineer, you help build one product that is used daily by more than 3 million users.
