Engineering Assistant
Main Objective
Plans, designs, and drives continuous improvement of assigned manufacturing processes within the plant. Maximizes efficiency by analyzing equipment layout, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization. Determines the parts and tools required to achieve manufacturing objectives in accordance with product specifications. Plays a key role in process troubleshooting, root cause analysis of product defects, and implementation of corrective actions. Coordinates and implements changes suggested by Launch Engineers or Product Engineers. Generally responsible for secondary equipment and processes (welding, cutting, packaging, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Plans, designs, and drives continuous improvement of the assigned process.
- Maximizes efficiency by analyzing equipment layout, process flow, and workforce utilization within the area.
- Plays a key role in process troubleshooting, root cause analysis of product defects, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Implements changes suggested by Launch Engineers or Product Engineers.
- Ensures process documentation is always updated on the production line, including the latest revisions or when a Quality Notification (QN) is received from customers.
- Manages PFMEA, including periodic reviews with the multidisciplinary team and Reverse PFMEA activities to improve process performance.
- Participates in and supports production KPIs such as OEE, scrap reduction, and expected production rates (line balancing charts, scrap analysis, and layout improvements).
- Manages Poka-Yoke systems and Red Rabbits, ensuring proper documentation and daily follow-up.
- Controls product and process deviation procedures within assigned processes.
- Generates manufacturing process improvement ideas and conducts daily follow-up to achieve quality and production standards, with a strong commitment to ergonomics and safety.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Location: Santa Catarina, Nuevo León.
