IT Systems Engineer II
- Design and implement infrastructure solutions aligned with established architectural standards.
- Own and maintain core infrastructure platforms such as virtualization, identity, storage, or cloud services. Lead complex system deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
- Engineer highly available and resilient systems supporting operational workloads.
- Evaluate performance and capacity requirements and implement improvements.
- Develop and maintain standardized infrastructure configurations.
- Improve system consistency across environments through engineering best practices.
- Establish deployment patterns and operational baselines.
- Reduce configuration drift through structured platform management.
- Design and implement automation for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Develop reusable scripts and tooling to reduce operational overhead.
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and configuration management practices.
- Improve deployment reliability through automation and validation workflows.
- Lead resolution of complex infrastructure incidents involving multiple systems.
- Perform deep technical analysis to identify systemic issues.
- Implement engineering improvements that prevent recurrence.
- Support incident response activities requiring cross-team coordination.
- Design infrastructure solutions aligned with cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.
- Implement secure configuration baselines and identity controls.
- Support audit readiness through proper system configuration and documentation.
- Ensure infrastructure supports controlled and regulated data environments.
- Provide technical guidance to administrators and junior engineers.
- Collaborate with network engineering, security, and application teams.
- Participate in technical planning and infrastructure roadmap discussions.
- Contribute to internal engineering standards and best practices.
- 6+ years experience implementing and supporting enterprise infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience designing infrastructure solutions independently.
- Advanced Windows Server administration and platform knowledge.
- Working proficiency administering Linux systems.
- Experience designing and operating virtualization environments.
- Strong automation and scripting experience (PowerShell required).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex multi-system issues.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure dependencies and networking fundamentals.
- 8+ years experience implementing and supporting enterprise infrastructure.
- Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or lab infrastructure.
- Experience integrating on-premises infrastructure with cloud platforms.
- Enterprise storage architecture experience.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code or configuration management tooling.
- Experience operating within regulated or compliance-driven environments.
Additional Information:
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
