The Automotive practice inside DXC Luxoft delivers SW projects to a majority of the world's car manufacturers and suppliers for both personal and commercial vehicles. We are known for our Automotive SW expertise and for helping our customers with high quality services and deliveries. Currently we are growing for our Swedish customers and are looking for Test Automation Engineers to join our team. You will be part of our growing organization in Sweden and will be part of developing next gen systems for the Automotive industry for the age of connected, autonomous, electric vehicles. We are building a specialized engineering team to support the long-term maintenance and operational stability of the vehicle-network gateway that manages communication between the Vehicle Computation Unit and mechatronic ECUs across Automotive Ethernet, CAN/CAN-FD, and LIN networks. The assignment focuses on product maintenance, issue investigation, verification, release support, and continuous improvement rather than major new-feature development.

Responsibilities

• - Plan and execute maintenance release verification and regression testing.
  • Reproduce reported defects in designated test environments.
  • Analyze test failures and provide clear technical documentation.
  • Maintain test cases, repeatable procedures, and detailed test reports.
  • Support verification using VIU rigs, integration environments, and vehicles as applicable.
  • Enhance maintenance-focused test automation and regression coverage.
  
  

  SKILLS

  Must have

  • The role requires expertise in embedded software testing within the automotive sector, emphasizing thorough evaluation of automotive communication protocols such as Ethernet, CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, and diagnostic functions.

  Hard skills include:

  • Conducting comprehensive automotive embedded-software tests.
  • Utilizing and interpreting logs and test tools effectively.
  • Applying scripting techniques to enhance testing processes.
  • Performing structured defect reporting with attention to detail.
  • Executing regression testing and reproducing issues accurately.
  • Implementing test automation to improve efficiency.

  Soft skills involve:

  • Analytical thinking to troubleshoot and resolve complex testing challenges.
  • Methodical approach to document and track defects systematically.
  • Effective communication for clear reporting and collaboration with development teams.
  
  

  Nice to have

  Experience in automotive embedded-software testing. Understanding of Automotive Ethernet, CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, and diagnostic concepts. Experience working with logs, test tools, scripting, and structured defect reporting. Knowledge of regression testing, issue reproduction, and test automation.
