As Data Engineer, you’ll:
- design and build a variety of API’s and data pipelines that allow data to be used and stored effectively,
- bring data to life, working with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver BI products that transform data into effective tools for reporting, analytics and decision making,
- collaborate with external providers to build solutions to bring data in and out of the organisation,
- maintain the full data and analytics technology stack, continuously improving tools.
Screening calls for this role are provisionally scheduled for week commencing 16th November 2026, and will take place on Teams.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be passionate about data and the ways in which this information can be used to add value to Dogs Trust and our mission. You’ll need extensive data engineering skills and hands-on experience, working with Informatica IDMC (CDI and CAI) and Snowflake data platform. You’ll also need some experience with SQL, Python and R, as well as the ability to build reports and dashboards, complimented by strong organisational skills to manage the competing demands of the role.

About the Company
Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK, caring for over 14,000 dogs a year across 21 rehoming centres. Its aim is to make tomorrow's world a better place for dogs and the generations to come. It is there for dogs in distress and finds loving families for pups that need a home, promising to never put a healthy dog down and always offering a helping hand to owners when they need it most. Education and training are key parts of its work both in the UK and abroad. It has more than 1,600 members of staff in the UK, around 110 international employees and between 2,500 and 3,500 volunteers.
