✨ AI Summary

Boom Supersonic, a supersonic aircraft manufacturer, is hiring an Integration Engineer for engine assembly in Centennial, CO. The role focuses on defining assembly processes, tooling, and work instructions for their Superpower engine, requiring hands-on experience with turbomachinery or gas turbine builds and strong mechanical intuition. Candidates should be comfortable with live builds and interpreting technical drawings, with FAA A&P certification or prototype-to-production transition experience as a plus. The position offers a base salary of $150,000 to $190,000 plus equity and benefits, and requires ITAR eligibility.

We’re not just designing an engine — we’re building the systems, tooling, and processes to assemble one from scratch. As a Integration Engineer focused on engine assembly, you’ll define how Superpower comes together: how components are staged, assembled, torqued, inspected, and tested. If you’ve lived inside turbomachinery builds, engine overhauls, or high-stakes mechanical assemblies — this is where you can leave your mark.

Role Overview

  • Define and own engine assembly processes for Superpower from first build through production.
  • Develop assembly sequences, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions.
  • Capture, document, and continuously refine engine assembly knowledge — translating hard-earned build. experience into clear work instructions, build sequences, tooling requirements, and lessons learned that enable repeatable, high-quality assembly.
  • Partner with design, quality, and test teams to ensure assemblies meet performance and reliability requirements.
  • Support hands-on engine builds, troubleshooting fit-up and assembly issues in real time.
  • Drive continuous improvement in assembly efficiency, quality, and repeatability.
  • Support engine teardown, inspection, and rebuild activities as designs evolve.
  • Help scale assembly operations as Superpower moves toward higher-rate production.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer supporting engine or turbomachinery assembly.
  • Hands-on exposure to gas turbine, turbofan, or industrial engine builds.
  • Strong mechanical intuition and ability to diagnose assembly-related issues.
  • Comfortable working closely with technicians and test teams during live builds.
  • Fluent in interpreting drawings, tolerances, and assembly requirements.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and ambition, complemented by effective collaboration skills in a team setting.
  • Excels in a high-energy, independent, and challenging work environment.
  • Calm, methodical approach when things don’t fit the first time (because they won’t).

What Will Set You Apart

  • Background in engine MRO, prototype engine programs, or first-article builds.
  • Active or prior FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification.
  • Experience transitioning engine assembly from prototype to production.
