The Data Platform team builds the foundations for storing, moving, managing, and using data at scale—including storage, streaming, data lakes, analytics, and experimentation. As an Engineering Manager, you’ll lead a team developing reliable data services and the privacy and governance capabilities that help teams use data responsibly.
What you’ll do
  • Lead, coach, and grow engineers; support their development and career progression.
  • Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, and senior leaders to set a clear quarterly roadmap and deliver it iteratively.
  • Guide technical decisions and promote high-quality code, sound engineering practices, and reliable distributed systems.
  • Stay close to the work through design and code reviews, incident leadership, on-call participation, and troubleshooting when needed.
  • Own processes that improve engineering quality and help the team meet its service-level commitments.
  • Partner with recruiting to attract and hire strong engineers.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in data platform or infrastructure, including 2+ years in engineering management.
  • Experience building, delivering, and operating distributed systems at scale.
  • Strong engineering judgment and the ability to foster quality, maintainability, and effective development practices.
  • An execution-focused approach: able to work through ambiguity, balance near-term delivery with long-term planning, and turn complex goals into actionable work.
  • A hands-on leadership style and willingness to engage in technical work and operational responsibilities.
  • Experience leading technical change in a large, fast-moving organization.
  • Familiarity with blockchain infrastructure, such as Bitcoin or Ethereum.
  • Clear communication, ownership, and a strong customer focus.
  • Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual base salary for this position can range as detailed below. Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility and benefits (including medical, dental, and vision).

Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus):
₹9,424,000—₹9,424,500 INR
